How to perform an FDISK /mbr in Windows XP /Windows 2003
Playing with Ximage on a bare drive and realized it doesn't set the Master Boot Record (Fare enough it doesn't know which partition to set it to) after looking around for a while i found the way to do this in XP and Windows Server 2003 is to:
- My Computer >Right Click Choose "Manage"
- In the Computer Management Console Choose "Disk Management"
- Right click the partition you want to boot from and choose "Make Partition Active"
- Viola if you have bootable files on that partition you are now back in business
