How to perform an FDISK /mbr in Windows XP /Windows 2003

Playing with Ximage on a bare drive and realized it doesn't set the Master Boot Record (Fare enough it doesn't know which partition to set it to) after looking around for a while i found the way to do this in XP and Windows Server 2003 is to:

  1. My Computer >Right Click Choose "Manage"
  2. In the Computer Management Console Choose "Disk Management"
  3. Right click the partition you want to boot from and choose "Make Partition Active"
  4. Viola if you have bootable files on that partition you are now back in business
