Using Different Credentials to a Team Foundation Server

Ran in to a situation a couple of days ago where i needed to log into a Team Foundation Server as a different user - and since Visual Studio/Team Explorer "remembers" your last credentials you don't have a chance to re-enter these credentials.  This information is cached even after removing and re-adding the server in team explorer.  Which begs the question - where is it cached?

Turns out we are relying on Windows to do this for us.  To dump this cache all you need to do is go to control panel > User Accounts > Manage Your Network Passwords select the Team foundation Server and choose remove - viola! Next time you go into Team Explorer you will be prompted for a new set of credentials.

Any chance to get Cardspace support for authentication for Rosario? I.e. be a player in the fully federated identity system?

At current card space is not on the books for authentication...the fact that you are requesting it indicates external access; is this your typical scenario?

Yup, and in particular I still hope Windows Live ID will come up with managed cards, and that at some great day in the future I will just be able to grant access to a TFS to a Windows Live ID credential, or someone with a Google ID or from a third company with its own AD. Also, it simply seems to be the proper way to do this stuff going forward, instead of the username/password dialoges. But then, as long as you are not migrating to WCF instead of the asmx stuff, it probably cannot work.

Actually, a place where this would be really relevant is codeplex, where it would be really cool if one could use Live Ids via Cardspace.

Sounds like a good idea and one that i will mention to Sara Ford (Codeplex Gal) next time i see her)

Thanks
