The MVP Summit
The MVP Summit is an internal Microsoft event in which close friends of the company come to Redmond and talk about technology for a few days. This year Bill Gates gave a keynote, and Anders Hejlsberg talked about LINQ. We then broke out into smaller groups so that the C# MVP's could get some "quality time" with the C# team. For me, its these latter sessions that form the heart of the conference.
