Parallel Computer Platform Dev Center and CTP Announced

The Parallel Computing Platform team has launched the Parallel Computing dev center along with their first Community Technology Preview. A CTP gives you a chance to try a new technology before it is released.

The new parallel computing Dev Center will focus on concurrency issues and how to write software that is optimized to run on parallel hardware. If you are interested in cutting edge technologies such as Parallel LINQ (PLINQ), then you want to visit this Dev Center.

The CTP consists of a set of "Parallel Extensions to the .NET Framework and a managed programming model for data parallelism, task parallelism, and coordination on parallel hardware unified by a common work scheduler." In short, if you are interested in writing code that involves threads, concurrency, multi-processer systems or related technologies, then this preview will be of interest.
