About "A la Vista"

A lot of great innovation is being delivered in Windows Vista. And while the .NET Framework 3.0 includes a slew of new managed APIs, there are also a large number of new native APIs being exposed at the OS level, that haven't yet bubbled up into our managed frameworks.

I've spent the last 9-10 months taking a close look at many of these native APIs, trying to understand how they can be used by managed code developers. In this blog, I'd like to share some of the lessons that I've learned. While much of this information may be equally applicable to native C++ developers, I will be primarily be looking at things from the perspective of a managed code developer.
