Visual Studio 2008 RTM
Well, the day we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Visual Studio 2008 has now been released to manufacturing, and is now available from a few sites for download!
If you're an MSDN subscriber, you can get Visual Studio 2008 - Team Suite from the Subscriber Download site. Be prepared to wait as the servers are flooded already...
If you're not an MSDN Subscriber, you've got 3 options:
- Install the Visual Studio 2008 Express Versions from http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/default.aspx. Silverlight content on that page might require an update, depending on what you've got installed today, so be ready for that.
- Come to the Visual Studio 2008 InstallFest parties near you. I blogged about this about 30 minutes ago and a week ago.
- Launch Events start in February, 2008 - you'll be able to get copies of the RTM bits at each of the launch events.
Let me know what you think once you get it downloaded and installed! Tell us about your VS08!
