InstallFest Wrocław
Hats off to the .NET User Group in Wrocław for putting together their own Visual Studio 2008 InstallFest! They had over 60 developers attend, and a quarter installed Visual Studio at the event. Apart from some awesome food, there were a few presentations on .NET 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008 from local user group members, a Visual Studio trivia contes tand a Counter Strike tournament for the gamers in the crowd. At then end, a TON of great prizes were given out including a bunch of books, software and clothes.
All in all, everyone had a great time, and I'm really glad to hear that these events are taking off all over the world. If you're interested in running a Visual Studio InstallFest in your area, talk to these guys as they've already done 2 separate InstallFest parties in Poland to rave reviews!
Nice job guys! Thanks for all the hard work in putting this event together - I look forward to seeing the pictures :)
