Thanks to Brian Smith, I started using this tool today: Windows Live Writer instead of Copy & Paste to update my Community Server blog on MSDN.
WLW is awesome! I used to use Front-Page, and WLW is so much better.
It provides a very easy way to write your own extensions too for including common patterns in your blog. For eg, I just wrote an extension for pasting text from the console:

The extensibility model is simple enough that you can just jump right in.
