Blog is a collection of misc troubleshooting tips collected while supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2000 2005 and 2008 customers.
Forcus area covered include SSIS, Performance, and Replication
We ran into this issue today on a customer's SQL 2008 cluster installation. This cluster was configured with BASP Broadcom NIC Teaming driver. This allows for redudent NICs using 1 IP address. We verified the binding order was TEAM then Heartbeat and confirmed there were not disabled or ghosted network adapers as per the following KB article
955963 You receive a warning about the network binding order on the Setup Support Rules page when you install SQL Server 2008 in a failover cluster

As this was a WARNING and not a failure, we continued the setup which completed without any errors.
