MSDN Evening Briefing: An Introduction to .NET

Just a note to let you know about the next MSDN Event. Here in the Developer and Platform Group, we often get questions on where is the best place to start if you want to get up to speed in .NET quickly. So, we decided to do a type of jump-start event to make it really easy for people to learn about how to get up and running with the .NET tools and technologies.

So, if you know people who you think would benefit from a quick (yet comprehensive ;) introduction, let them know about this event. Or, if you are already familiar with .NET, but want to hear about the latest, greatest resources, do come along! We look forward to seeing you there!

MSDN Evening Briefing: An Introduction .NET

  • Date: Wednesday, 1st December 2004, 7-9pm
  • Location: The Hilton, Dublin
  • Register Now

Event Overview:

New to .NET or curious about what web services are all about? If so, this event is for you! From basic technical concepts to how to get free training this session will map out how to get from zero to .NET hero in the shortest time possible.

You can expect to come away with:

  • An understanding of .NET and web services definitions and concepts
  • Examples of where and how .NET is being used in Ireland today
  • A list of training resources (free and otherwise) to help you get up to speed quickly
  • Information on the easiest ways to get hold of the development tools

This will be a relatively informal session, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussions around any of the topics covered. Afterwards, we also hope you will join us for a social get-together.

Thanks for spotting that, Gavin - you don't have to wait a year to come. One thing I am loving about this blogging thing: correcting all those typos! I'm sure there will be many more :)
