ASP.NET 2.0 International Tour coming to Dublin March 4th!

The ASP.NET 2.0 International Tour is hitting Dublin on March 4th!

Come along for this one day event to hear the latest news about Microsoft's web development technology. The venue for this event is Club Lobo @ The Morrison Hotel, Ormond Quay, Dublin 1.

Speakers include: David Platt (ex-Harvard), Scott Guthrie (co-founder of the ASP.NET team), Dave Webster (Microsoft Developer Evangelist for the EMEA region), Brian Goldfarb (Product Manager on the Web Platform and Tools team in Redmond) and Marcus Mac Innes (our local guest speaker from Style Design in Dublin).

What will be covered? Data Controls, SQL Output Caching, Master Pages, Themes/Skins, Personalization, Web Parts, Membership, Role Management and Security Controls, Web Site Administration Tool, MMC Administration Tool, Site Pre-Compilation and the significantly improved Visual Studio 2005 Web experience.

There will also be a session on the new Visual Studio Team System  - a powerful set of team tools to help complex web site development. Finally, the speakers will cover design techniques that will make moving ASP.NET 1.1 applications to ASP.NET 2.0 easier, side-by-side execution of 1.1 and 2.0 applications, the new page compilation model in ASP.NET 2.0, and the VS.NET 2005 conversion wizard. We will finish up with a session on security in ASP.NET 2.0.

Afterwards, we hope you will also join us for a reception.

Can't make it to Dublin? Not to worry - we are currently finalising details on a roadtrip that will bring the highlights of this event to Belfast, Cork and Galway in March - more details to follow!
