Transactions on MS technologies - now and in the future Start Time: 19:00
Location: Buswell's Hotel 23-26 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2
Overview:
System.Transactions is a new assembly in .NET 2.0 that provides a unified programming model that simplifies transactional programming, makes it more efficient and provides a framework that eases the development of transactional resources. System.Transactions also provides a whole host of new features that provide greater performance and agility. Some of these features include a lightweight transaction manager, implicit transactions, volatile transactions, plus many more features.
In this session, Paul Fallon will discuss the problem space that transactions address, the different types of transactions, how they are implemented with today’s technologies and how the System.Transactions namespace unifies and simplifies transactional programming.
