Oooh, shame on me - there has been so much going on over the past week or so, that I have missed out on blogging a number of important notices. Firstly, congratulations to Paul Fallon, who has been asked by INETA to be the representative for Ireland. INETA is the International .NET Association, a not-for-profit organisation who help to bring international world-renowned speakers for local .NET user groups.
As Paul mentions in his blog, Benjamin Mitchel previously managed the speaker schedule for UK and Irish user groups, but with the recent growth of the .NET user group community in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and considering it is showing no signs of slowing down, Paul is now on board to help the user groups get access to resources and international speakers.
Of course, representatives from all the developer user groups in Ireland and Northern Ireland will also be on the Irish INETA board: including Paschal from INDA, John Brennan from Irish Dev and Damien McGivern from NIMTUG as well as myself (as the MS Community Rep). We'll all be working with Paul to get more great INETA events set up all around Ireland and Northern Ireland.
So, if any of you out there want to either start up your own .NET user group or come on board as speakers - please do let either Paul, myself or any of the other board members know!
