Architect Forum - speaker update

It turns out I missed out on the best reason for attending Bill's Architect Forum in my first post about it... the speakers! For those of you who were lucky enough to hear Ingo Rammer at the INDA event last year, you'll be delighted to hear that he is one of the main speakers at the March 1st event. He'll be joining Beat Schwegler to give the talk on Software Factories. Two excellent speakers! It should be a great event!

Architect Forum 2006 - Software Factories
The Microsoft Architect Forum, is the premier Microsoft Ireland event for practising IT Architects. Attended by 75 of Ireland's leading architects in 2004 and 2005, this event is an excellent way to explore an area of architectural interest amongst your peers.

This year we will explore Software Factories – an effort underway at Microsoft to evolve beyond the universal one-size-fits-all approach to constructing, deploying and managing software. A Software Factory is a development environment configured to support the rapid production of a specific type of application via a custom collection of domain-specific languages organized by a graph of viewpoints. By introducing patterns of industrialisation, Software Factories promise to drive the evolution of software development methods and change the character of the software industry.
