VSTO Talk Cork 22nd May - Imperial Hotel 7pm

There will be community event down in Cork in the Imperial Hotel next Monday covering VSTO (short for the incredibly long Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System). There has been an awful lot of interest from various folks around Ireland in VSTO, particularly with Vista just around the corner.The folks from Emoh have been working hands-on with VSTO so if you get the chance to head along to the presentation, it should be worthwhile!

Saoirse Amarteifio, Damien Liddane and Jim Morris of Emoh will give a talk on using VSTO

VSTO
which is Visual Studio Tools for Office is the .NET development environment for building line-of-business applications using the Microsoft Office System.  The speakers are working on  a VSTO project  for Emc and so are in a position to talk on the benefits and problems of using VSTO.  The demonstrations will include schema based programming, designing controls and templates for rendering word elements and allowing the user to interact with the underlying data through Word. It will also include use of datasets and winform mixing traditional .Net with the office experience.

Emoh is a new company focusing on the guys interest in embedded machines for office and home. The current focus of Emoh is contracts which bring them closer to complete knowledge of embedded machines and tools for home and office.
