Irish Imagine Cup entry to be showcased on Second Life!

You may have read Rob's coverage of the Irish Imagine Cup competition back in April. The winning entry was a team from NUI Maynooth who designed a low-cost interactive system for teach sign language. They'll be off to Korea later in August to compete at the internation finals. You should check out their website www.signal.ie for more information about the entry (check out the downloads page for a trailer about the entry).

But apart from having Irish representation at the final for the first time ever, the (even more) exciting news is that the Irish entry has been chosen to be showcased in the Imagine Cup Gallery which is being launched in Second Life tomorrow.

If you want to check it you - you can join the party live from 7pm GMT tomorrow (28th June). You will be able to check out some of the global entries (as well as the Irish one) and chat online with the teams.

They have a whole load of bands and DJs performing too - including Natalie Moody (apparantly the most celebrated singer currently performing in Second Life!! :-o)

For more information, check out the following press release.
