That implied it was running in ServerGC mode but I didn't set it to run as ServerGC explicitly. I only had this line GcConcurrent enabled="true". How could it be? &lt;p&gt;aspnet_wp.exe is an unmanaged host that specifies Server GC if the machine is multi-proc, otherwise it defaults to workstation without concurrent enabled.&lt;/p&gt;
