Roger Alsing saw a challenge and it was to recreate the Mona Lisa in only 50 semi-transparent polygons.  Prior to the challenge, he created a small program before to help do some genetic programming and adapted it to the challenge.  The image on the left was render 1635 and the final image was render 904,314!

one to one

Roger even created has a FAQ about his genetic programmed Mona Lisa.

The FAQ shows some of the code and he mentions he may show off the code to produce this challenge.
