Getting my location

Published 29 December 08 12:47 PM | Coding4Fun

dc1[1]Acoustic shows off a quick easy way to get “good enough” GPS coordinates from your Windows Mobile phone.  Did I say “Good enough”?  I did and am referring to Assisted GPS triangulation.  It won’t give you a precise location lock, however, it will be near you.

By using the Radio Interface Layer, Acoustic gets the needed cell tower location data then uses a 3rd party service to get a look up.

Now to pair this with real GPS!
