The &lt;a href="http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2007/12/19/internet-explorer-8-and-acid2-a-milestone.aspx"&gt;Internet Explorer team has announced&lt;/a&gt; that the current build of IE8 running in Standards Mode will correctly pass the &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid2"&gt;ACID2&lt;/a&gt; rendering test.
