Attending live events is great but can be costly for those who bill by the hour. I'd like to put in a pitch for taping more of your live presentations and putting them on the Web for viewing and/or download. That way, I can park the video presentation in my second monitor and continue my billable work. If the content isn't what I anticipated, there's no traveling time lost.
BTW, I'm not a fan of chats. Apart from requiring me to focus on the text, slow typists don't make for engaging "speakers".
Thanks for listening!

Ken
MVP [ASP.NET]
Toronto
re: Canadian Developer Update - The Power of Community, and the power of focus

Resource are plentiful, finding them is difficult. I do subscribe to a couple newsletters (vbcity, codeproject), but for the most part ignore them. I'm pretty much at the point where if I don't see the link to the article/cast/chat on weblogs.asp.net or the few other blogs I visit, I'll never see them.

I could probably make better use of msdn's rss capabilities...

Karl

re: Canadian Developer Update - The Power of Community, and the power of focus
Here are my favorite online resources (not including blogs or newsgroups):

Channel 9
http://channel9.msdn.com/

.NET Rocks!
http://www.franklins.net/dotnetrocks/

Microsoft On-Demand Webcasts
http://www.microsoft.com/seminar/events/webcasts/ondemand.mspx

MSDN Canada
http://msdn.microsoft.com/canada/

MSDN Magazine
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/default.aspx

Universal Thread
http://www.universalthread.com/
