Application Security, Part 18

Now, our MIIS management agents can be configured to do either imports or exports when they execute.  Importing means, as one might expect, moving objects into the connector space and potentially projecting them into the meta-verse.  Exporting means moving data in the meta-verse and connector space out to the repository with which that management agent communicates.  So, with our rule extension for provisioning objects in ADAM from Active Directory in place, having the Active Directory management agent execute an import of Active Directory objects into the MIIS meta-verse will trigger the creation of corresponding objects in the ADAM connector space, and having the ADAM management agent subsequently perform an export will serve to have those objects provisioned in ADAM.
