Microsoft Infrastructure & Development Tips and Tricks
Introducing myself…

Hi, this is my first blog posting and I’d like to use it to introduce myself.

I’m Cristiano Gonçalves (you can call me Cris :)). I’m a senior consultant within Microsoft Enterprise Services Brazil.

Since I’ve got my BS degree in Computer Science I’ve been working on many IT technical areas, from distributed applications specification and development to network infrastructure projects. Starting as a Cisco and Unix network administrator, I became a Microsoft solutions architect working for two companies for some years, back as a network engineer for a telecom company before initiating at Microsoft as a consultant in June of 2001.

I have development and network infrastructure skills (mainly Cisco and Nortel configuration and management), including experience implementing many of Microsoft server products (operating systems, messaging, management, portal, e-commerce, databases, etc) and using Microsoft development tools.

I’m also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a PMI member with project management skills, including experience with infra-structure and development projects management.

As a consultant at Microsoft Services I work with external customers on crafting IT solutions using Microsoft products and technologies. I’m proud to say that in my job I enable business customers to solve complex technical challenges with the aid of Microsoft Technology. :)

I will use this space to share some technical tips and thoughts about my current projects. Reading this blog you will have the opportunity to follow the day of a consultant on the field.

Don’t be surprised if you see a bunch of mixed information (infrastructure and development) as I said, I feel comfortable acting in both worlds.

What’s coming on the next blog posting? Something about Commerce Server 2007!
