Bio - Crystal Smithwick

Crystal Smithwick is a senior technical writer on the CRM UX team. When she is not crafting fine technical prose, she can be found riding her trusty steed, often in medieval attire, for the Society for Creative Anachronism. A well-rounded crafts person, she dabbles in elaborate culinary creations such as wedding cakes. Her only vice is a tendency to watch Star Gate and Battlestar Galactica way too much.

# Filling in the black hole of doc feedback

Anyone who has send feedback has probably felt like they were throwing a rock into a deep, dark, pit....

# Not a black hole at all

I could not disagree more. Just this morning I was telling a co-worker how impressed I was that the CRM UX team actually responds to feedback. I figured nobody ever did, and was surprised (twice) to receive notes and updates about the suggestions I made.

The documentation has a long way to go (or maybe I just haven't found the right place to look yet), but I see improvements being made constantly.

# Tracking Instant Message Conversations in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Hi,

I am following http://blogs.javista.com/2008/06/02/tracking-instant-message-conversations-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm/ article but in my Outlook 2007, I can't find "Track in CRM" button.

What's wrong in my settings.

FYI:

SERVER:

-1x crm4, crm4 email router

-1x office communication server 2007

CLIENT:

-1x crm4 client

-1x cisco client

-1x crm4 for outlook

-1x outlook 2007

-1x communicator 2007

Between communicator can talk without problem

I can see chatting coversation in Outlook History

thanks

The shortcut link is pretty cool.  But can you add a shortcut link to a workflow email?

I have an email that gets sent each time a new account is created.  Can I add a shortcut link to that workflow email?
