Hi Manjeet

I am attempting to import a file using the data import wizard. we have previously made a change to machine.config as outlined in the knowledge base to allow for large imports (16MB)

On attempting to import and creation of a new datamap, I am still having errors. When importing SAMPLE DATA, the error message I am getting is that the file size is too large.

We have tried deleting this as far as just one row of data but still get the message.

Any ideas?

Dave

Hi Manjeet -

We've run in to an "Exceptional Case" error.  The CrmAsyncService trace logs show

Exception happened during execution of import = {AD6D2DAB-D581-41F0-B0A2-D76A0023B13F} | Details: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

and

System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

Looking at your suggestion in the blog (see below) I can't determine where to look for the problem.  Could you get more specific?

Thanks!

From blog:

Look for CrmAsyncService-bin in the file name, this is the log of the service which does the task of parsing, conversion and uploading and find the error. Two other important trace files contains “DMHoster” and “DMWizard” in them.  DMHoster is the local web server which is responsible for making web-service calls, DMWizard is what you see as DMM, any problems of the application(including initialization, authentication) can be looked up here. A combination of these three logs can be used to figure out most problems in the functionality of DMM.
