Bio – Smiti Shah

Hi!  I’m Smiti Shah, Program Manager for Microsoft CRM Sustained Engineering.

At CRM Sustained Engineering, our main focus is providing hotfixes and update rollups to respond to customer issues between major releases.  Our goal is to make sure that high impact issues are addressed and that our customers are satisfied with their CRM experience.  We work closely with the core team, customer support, content publishing and numerous other teams to that end.

I have been at Microsoft since 2005 and was on the Visio team before coming over to CRM.  It has been a tremendous experience working in such a dynamic and diverse environment with some of the smartest and most passionate people I have come across.

Aside from software, I am a self described book-worm with a wanderlust to see and experience as many places and cultures as possible.

Hi,

Again not very sure but I think it is a bug in Microsoft CRM 4.0 Outlook client.

I have a scenario which works well in CRM Web Client but gives an access denied error in the CRM Outlook Client.

The code line:

var parentform = window.opener.document.all.crmForm;

does not work in Outlook client.

It gives an access denied error while outlook is online too...

Do you have any solution for the same.

Is it a bug in Microsoft CRM???

Please suggest your thoughts on the same.

Regards

Swati

Hi there,

I have the same issue as Swati.

Has anyone confirmed - is this a MS CRM bug or is there a code change I can make?

Many thanks,

Monica
