BizTalk Server 2006 Beta-2 Now Available

 

It is my great pleasure to announce that BizTalk 2006 Beta 2 has been signed off and is available for download at http://beta.microsoft.com.  Along with this release we are also making available the beta versions of the recently announced Microsoft Line of Business Adapters for Siebel, Oracle, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards, and Tibco. This release marks a significant milestone in the BizTalk 2006 product schedule.

 

Beta-2 Known Issues and Installation Guide

 

Please familiarize yourself with the list of known issues with the Beta-2.  Please also refer to the Installation Guide and read through this carefully before installing the Beta-2 and its pre-requisites.

Uninstalling Previous Beta Versions

 

This build is compatible with the RTM versions of Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005. Download Information

 

Existing Beta customers can login to Betaplace to download this.  Customers who have not yet signed up for the Beta program can follow these directions below to enroll and download the Beta-2.

 

  1. Go to Microsoft Beta Place (https://beta.microsoft.com) and log in with your Microsoft Passport network account.
  2. In the menu bar, click Sign in as Guest, and type the following Guest ID: BizTalkBetaTeam 
  3. Click OK. 
  4. Under Program Info, click Survey, and complete the BizTalk Server 2006 Open Beta Nomination Form.  
  5. Complete and submit the survey form.  

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Microsoft welcoming you to the BizTalk Server 2006 Beta Program. This letter will contain additional information on how to download the Beta-2 and access the BizTalk Server 2006 newsgroup.
