Connect 2.0 (belated, yes)

So, as many of you know, Microsoft Connect (http://connect.microsoft.com) has been updated to Version 2.0. It took quite a lot of effort and several days without sleep, but we got it done.

As is often the case, we've identified a few things we need to tweak, so there's an update being planned for Thursday the 15th, in the evening. The update should only take a few minutes and most users won't even notice any downtime.

In particular, we're going to be fixing an issue where currently people aren't getting notified when an MS staff member comments on their bug.

While I respect the effort put into Connect, I also must be honest: I find it nearly unusable. I am not alone, either. See this bug report:

https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=131312

It is the top #2 bug at the moment.

What I find so difficult to use about it the lack of required functionality. Searches can not be filtered by category anymore. Nor can they be sorted by date. Less information is reported (such as the lack of Microsoft status, investigating etc). My Watch list is not filtered by Suggestion / Bug anymore. I could go on, if needed.

It is very difficult to use now, and rather frustrating. The previous Ladybug system was leaps and bounds more useful. Hopefully this is a very, very, very early version and that we can look forward to something at least as good as Ladybug.

Good luck.
You guys have your work cut out for you.

I would like to see more statuses like if its moved to look at for next version will they actually pull it back up for the next relase. Some kind of notification on this would be cool.
