Saw "A scanner darkly"..

Holy crap! This has got to be the most boring movie I have seen in years.

I actually quite enjoyed the animation style. The acting was decent and even good in some cases. But the movie.. The plot.. The dialogs.. They were so boring.. So monotonous. So stupid.

Stay away from this movie if you humanly can. Get it on DVD and watch it while doing something on the computer.

Or better yet, bring a laptop to the movie and sit in the back row, working.

After seeing the trailer, I gotta think you half-knew what to expect before you even bought the ticket. I figure I would get tired of this movie after the first 10 minutes. I probably wouldn't even be able to sit through it. I think that type of animation is totally retarded for movies. Maybe a dream sequence or something but not the whole thing.

I remember seeing those investing commercials (I forget the name of the company. Guess marketing didn't do a very good job) that were shot in that style of animation and I remember thinking "what is the purpose of this??"

If you've read the book then you'd expect it to be pretty dull. I can't remember if I even finished the book.

I thought it would be a bad movie, but I like bad movies. I dont mind them. Especially sci-fi etc.

But this was not bad per-se. The acting was okay (other than the internal turmolous dialogs). The camera work was fine.

It was just boring...
Even cat-woman was not boring, as such. It was just borderline atrocious.

Article about how they made the movie and the technique that they used (known as "rotoscoping"):

This was the best movie I have ever seen. I don't know what you are all talking about.  This movie was not "boring" by any means.  Maybe if you actually watched the movie you'd see the deep points that this movie was trying to portray!!
