Just wondering - what is the WIN32 API Call involved in writing to the Desktop?

I believe the source code is available at the link. There is a link to an article about it.

But AFAIK no API is used to do this. What it does its finds your backgroud, copies it, adds text to the image and then sets your background to the new image.
