&lt;p&gt;I think smart client will be a better choice for intranet, but Microsoft needs to take more initiatives about smart client; becuase many people have not heard of this! &amp;nbsp;Google, IBM, and others are advertising for cloud computing because it benefits them and will eventually lock-in the customers!&lt;/p&gt;
