Messaging and Security Feature Pack

The Windows Mobile 5.0 Messaging and Security Feature Pack has been announced today.  This is big news for enterprise mobile deployments.

Key features include:

  • True push email.  The device will maintain an always-on connection
  • Remotely managable security - administrators can push the red button and wipe the device, set policies on the devices and perform common admin tasks centrally
  • Reduces the need for third party servers
