What does "Simplified User Experience" mean?

If you read through the comparison charts for Visual Studio Express you'll find that the Express SKU says that the user experience is "simplified".  If you've ever wondered what that means - you are not the only one.  We get that question often.

Fortunately Dan Fernandez, the product manager for the Express SKUs has blogged the answer for us. The differences, while not enormous are big enough to cause you to want to take them into account.
