Visual Studio Orcas September CTP now available
Today we released the latest update of the Orcas CTP. This is a much fuller release than the last one.
Some general highlights:
- LINQ to Objects API (query arrays, generic lists and other .Net collections using LINQ)
- Partial C# 3.0 support (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/future) for more details on where this is going
- .Net framework improvements
For Windows Mobile developers
- Embedded Visual C++ support - work with your existing Embedded C++ 4.0 projects
- Unit testing for mobile devices
- VSTS Integration (You can check your mobile project in to Team Foundation Server)
- Access and modify device security inside the IDE
This CTP is a little different. We've actually provided it as a Virtual PC Image, so if you wan to give it a go you can download it from here. You can get Virtual PC and Virtual Server for free from here (Virtual PC) and here (Virtual Server).
