First BattleBot Built with Microsoft .NET Technologies Is TechEd Guest of Honor
Still catching up on all of the activity at TechEd. Came across this story on the first .NET Battlebot. Nice touch with the XBOX controller used to drive it!
I am a BIG fan of Battlebots and I've had a chance to meet the creators. They are doing some interesting work with robotics in high school curriculum through their Battlebots IQ initiative (had a chance to go to the US finals in Minnesota last year--THAT was an experience!). I know that robots are very interesting to students but the question that I keep asking is will teachers do the additional work that it takes to bring robotics to the classroom? As cool as robotics is, it isn't cheap either. Can schools and students invest?
