Visual Studio code name “Orcas” delivers on Microsoft’s vision of smart client applications by enabling developers to rapidly create connected applications that deliver the highest quality rich user experiences. Why all the images. Is it too dificult to install?

Dennis, the images are for use as a VPC image. The different files at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cf76fcba-07af-47ac-8822-4ad346210670&displaylang=en&tm are for a self-extracting install. Be careful when installing on a production machine, these are still CTP bits.

The software is split into a number of smaller files to ease the download.
