&lt;p&gt;If we can load two CLRs versions to the same process, is it possible that each CLR will have a different profiler?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;BTW can we hope for decent documentation for the API with the new release? &lt;/p&gt;</description></item><item><title>re: New stuff in Profiling API for upcoming CLR 4.0</title><link>http://blogs.msdn.com/davbr/archive/2008/11/10/new-stuff-in-profiling-api-for-upcoming-clr-4-0.aspx#9257713</link><pubDate>Wed, 31 Dec 2008 01:45:45 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">91d46819-8472-40ad-a661-2c78acb4018c:9257713</guid><dc:creator>davbr</dc:creator><description>&lt;p&gt;Hi, Ohad. &amp;nbsp;If multiple CLRs load into the same process, they will each use the same profiler (though a different instance of the class implementing ICorProfilerCallback). &amp;nbsp;There might be strange corner cases where you could end up with different profilers, though, such as if the startup profiler loads into CLR 2.0 but refuses to load into CLR 4.0, and then the user tries attaching a different profiler to the CLR 4.0 that has already loaded.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The documentation has been improving steadily for our released products. &amp;nbsp;Even as new service packs are released, extra overview topics are added for the profiling APIs. &amp;nbsp;And of course we have more planned for the new release. &amp;nbsp;The current latest docs start here:&lt;/p&gt;
