I tried to do the survey, but it stopped at question 22. Clicking Next suddenly did nothing.

Mike please see the MSDN documentation for OneNote 2007 is located here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/program/onenote/

There are a couple articles up there that is all about learning the OneNote 2007 API.

As for the toolbar buttons we will have limited functionality to have your code run out of proc in OneNote via a COM component.  The documentation for this isn't online yet as I am still working on it and will post it once it is complete.
