OneNote shared notebooks - notebooks on SharePoint

Thanks for doing this blog. I love sharepoint and OneNote, but I'm having a nearly impossible time getting OneNote 2007 on Vista to play nice with a few shared notebooks on sharepoint server (2003).

I've read about everything I can find on the subject, and I'm still stuck with no solution. summary information is posted here, if you're interested.
