The new new Indigo PDC and the WCF / COM+ / MSMQ session
As you can imagine with a CTP and Beta 1 behind us and Beta 2 approaching fast, the Indigo team is going to have pretty strong representation at the PDC. We may have had one or two "coming out" parties in the past, but this will be our biggest and best yet.
I will be presenting the following session:
COM305 - Windows Communications Foundation ("Indigo"): Integrating COM+ and MSMQ Applications
September 14, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
The Windows Communications Foundation (formerly codename "Indigo") provides a rich future for connected systems, but how can you get there from today's deployed business systems? This session presents a typical distributed application using many of today's widely deployed client and server technologies. We demonstrate how the integration features of the Windows Communications Foundation can help preserve the key application assets while offering a staged migration path to a more service oriented and interoperable future. If you've written any distributed application logic over the last eight years, you will get a lot out of this session.
The slides are pretty much locked down now but if you have burning questions or sticky scenarios that you'd specifically like addressed then use the Contact Form to let me know. I’d like to either talk to the points in the session or certainly off to the side.
I would REALLY like to meet up with as many attendees as I can to discuss integration scenarios and size up how the integration features are or are not meeting your needs. If you have COM+ or MSMQ investments that you want to expose as Indigo services or have a need to call services from unmanaged code then please use the Contact Form.
