Office Devcon and Open XML

Published 08 February 08 08:43 PM

Office Devcon starts this weekend in San Jose, and I'm really disappointed I won't be able to be there this year. I'll miss Bill Gates's keynote, all the great sessions on Office developer technologies, the OBA of the Year contest winner, and a chance to catch up with my friends Wouter Van Vugt, Erika Ehrli, Jean-Christophe Cimetiere, Eric White, Dennis Hamilton, Satish Reddy, Sanjay Kumar, Ted Pattison, Stephen Peront, Chris Strevel and many others.

If you're planning to be there, be sure to visit the Open XML area of the exhibitor hall, where you can meet implementers, see demos, learn about Open XML products and services from various vendors, and get answers to technical questions from experts like Wouter, Sanjay, Ken and Erika. Pick up a handy Open XML developer poster to hang on your wall for reference, or a conversation-starting laptop sticker:

Orcmid, I'll be watching your blog for a group photo of Open XML developers.

Thanks for sharing, Dennis.  I need to talk to Erika about getting one of those new t-shirts.

There are two new T-shirts.  The blue one (much easier on the eyes) that was being given out and the brilliant ORANGE one that the booth hosts wore.  I just washed mine (in with my plaid pajamas where color run couldn't do much harm).
