Funnily enough, I just yesterday upgraded a hobby shareware app to your V2 source. I wrote it ages ago to learn .NET, but it is still going strong thanks to Cassini!

Is is possible to add my own Web.config file? The server does not seem to pick the one located in the same folder. I am trying to add 3.5 assemblies to do some LINQ processing, and can't figure out how to do that similar to ASP.NET 3.5

Cassini just hands to request to ASP.NET for processing, so the config hierarchy for Cassini is the same as for normal ASP.NET scenarios -- application's web.config is inherited from root web.config (found in the config directory under Framework directory).

If you place web.config into the application root directory (where Cassini points), it should be picked up.

How can I make Cassini visible in my network?

Cassini works great by using http://localhost/VirutaDir

If i try to load from other machine it doesn't seem to work :/

(http://192.168.1.100/VirutalDir - This doesn't work)

How can i make this work?

Fernando,

Cassini only listens to localhost requests (for security reasons) -- it uses IPAddress.Loopback in the code. You can find the code in Server.cs and you can change it to IPAddress.Any to enable access from other machines. Of course, you'd be opening up the port for outside access, so you need to be aware of the security implications.

Is there a way to add more than one virtual path to the server?

It would be a great help for my new intranet project which includes two websites: one with webforms and the other with webservices!

Ferdnando,

This version of Cassini only creates one virtual path per process. You could either write some code to allow for several virtual roots or run two instances of Cassini.exe (on different ports).

I set the path: http://localhost/VirutaDir , in this directory i have a "default.htm". When i key http://localhost/VirutaDir in the IE, the browser can't automatic redirect to the page "default.htm" . Need a help!
