Forefront Security for Exchange Server and Forefront Security for SharePoint
I'm really exited about the security solution Microsoft is developing. We have now released Forefront Security for both Exchange and SharePoint and recentyl announced the public beta of Forefront security for Clients too. Once all this is released we will have an excellent integrated threat detection and management solution. Not to mention ISA 2006 which is also now in Beta, this provides full Edge, Server and Client protection in one suite - how great will that be?
November 14 Product Launch - Forefront Security for Exchange Server and Forefront Security for SharePoint
On November 14 Microsoft launched the first two products under the Microsoft Forefront brand! Scheduled for December 8 release to manufacturing, Forefront Security for Exchange Server and Forefront Security for SharePoint have already logged more than 30,000 beta downloads and are getting an incredible reception through the Forefront Server Security team RDP and Beta programs. Long standing Antigen customers who have deployed the new Forefront Security for Exchange Server product on Exchange 2007 servers are excited to see that the core features they loved in earlier versions of Antigen continue to perform great, along with a number of enhancements. Like the ability to now select up to any five of the nine integrated industry-leading antivirus engines per installation, providing the benefit of multiple detection technologies in a single solution. And new capabilities around performance optimization, premium spam services, and management for the best possible user experience on the Exchange 2007 platform. Early testers of the Forefront Security for SharePoint are also extremely positive and have been experiencing similar benefits for their new deployments of Office SharePoint 2007 servers.
