After a reasonable amount of time to resolve this error, I found this work around. It did work and allow me to create a Team Project and Project Portal successfully. Unfortunately the reports will not come up in the team site. The tfsredirect.aspx page returns an "unknown error". I have double checked the urls in TFSConfigwss and they are correct. Any advice?

Apparently the unknown error was that the file wasn't there. You may need to copy the tfsredirect.aspx page from the CD to the SharePoint layouts folder.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but our setup is as follows: Dual-server, server A is app tier, server B is data-tier and server C is MOSS 2007.

After installation of TFS and WSS extensions we were able to create a new team project and site. The only thing not working was the reports from the sharepoint site. It complained that the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\TeamFoundation\ReportServer\80\sites" was not set for the URI of our project. Problem was, this key didn't exist at all past "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio" here! On the sharepoint machine, I browsed to "C:\Program Files\Team Foundation Server 2008 Sharepoint Extensions x64 Power Tool\Tools" and double-clicked TfsConfigWss.exe. This opened up the config as shown in the screenshot at the top of this page. I entered in my values for the various servers and voila... registry keys created and reports are now working. Please note that I tried to enter these keys myself prior to this and that didn't work for me.
