BTW, Scott needs to work on date handling in .Text - look at the remark dates here, they are almost in random order... Timezones totally confuse .Text

Sirs,
Here is my delema: We have US Army units in Iraq and all across the USA that have daily BUB's (Battle Update Briefs). There are done on secure secret video teleconferences and we use MS Powerpoint slide presentations. I have been tasked to figure out how to do the following and I think U must have dome guru there who could help me.
I have been told in a MS Newsgroup for Powerpoint that this can be done with a simple VB script...problem is I am NOT a programmer.
Problem:
1. example........ we have a folder on the Hard Drive......I will call it BUB
2. In the BUB folder are sub folders with each unit responsible for their portion of the presentation (example) Casualities, battle Rhythm, G2, G3, G6, Chemical etc etc
3. The commanders for each group update their slides and save them into their respective folder
4. The BUB commander now has to go into each folder and copy all of the slides into his "master presentation in a particular order"
5. The BUB Commander wants me to come up with a way to simply click on a button (say an action button) and BAM! All of the units slides are now in the master ready for the Generals presentation........
This would be a BIG time saver.
How could you (some smart guy) in your organization help me ...say with a simple script? Or maybe you can point me in a better direction?
I have tried creating a MACRO and an action button buit it didi not work
Thank U
CB
