How to allow customers to opt-out of campaigns

My colleague, Kevin, and I were working through some campaign scenario's and I thought it'd be good to share a bit.

It's proper that if you send someone an unsolicited email about your business, that you provide a way to allow them to unsubscribe from the email list.

In Dynamics CRM , you would probably send the email via a campaign. When creating an email campaign activity, you have the option of adding an unsubscribe link. If the recipient of the email clicks on it, then the CRM system will check the 'don't send me marketing material' in their respective contact data. This would opt them out of marketing material in the future.

Add your text, highlight it, then click on the Unsubscribe on the tool bar.
