Network Gaming with XNA???

XNA V2 will provide network gaming functionality for both the Xbox 360 and Windows. This means you will be able to create games playable over the LAN and Internet between the console and PCs. I have given an overview of scenarios and requirements below but for all the full detail visit the XNA Team Blog.

  • PC to PC over LAN: Free using System Link
  • PC to PC over Internet: LIVE Gold Membership plus an XNA Creators Club Membership on both machines
  • Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 over LAN: LIVE Silver Membership and XNA Creator Club Membership on both machines
  • Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 over Internet: LIVE Gold Membership plus an XNA Creators Club Membership on both machines
  • Xbox 360 to PC over LAN: LIVE Silver Membership and an XNA Creators Club Membership on Xbox (Use System Link on PC)
