Benefit concert January 15, 2005 for local teen with severe cerebral palsy
If you live in the area, here is an opportunity to help a local teen (if you're interested in helping leave me a comment and I'll get you the name and phone number of someone you can contact for more information)
"Jacob Chesley, a senior in the Kent School District, was diagnosed as a child with severe cerebral palsy. He is unable to speak, walk or feed himself. To communicate he relies on pointing to pictures, numbers, letters, words and symbols in a large binder he carries on his wheelchair. Friends, family and neighbors have organized a benefit concert set for January 15, 2005 at the Carco theater in Renton to help raise money to cover the $10,000 cost of a break through treatment at the Euromed Rehabilitation Center in Mielno, Poland. Jacob’s mother, Deb, and Jacob, will be flying to Poland at the end of January to begin the month long treatment in Poland.
The concert will include a variety of classical, family-oriented, musical entertainment. Tickets will be available at the door on the night of the event. The Carco Theater is located next to Renton’s new Henry Moses Aquatic Center at the southeast corner of the intersection of Maple Valley Highway and Intrastate 405. In addition, a group of Jacob’s friends and neighbors will be holding a silent auction in the front lobby of the Theater on the night of the event.
More information about Jacob and this treatment can be found on page 32 of the Kent reporter newspaper in the January 5, 2005 edition, the "Friend and family raising money for student’s treatment" article.
Thanks in advance for your consideration!"
