Line level is definitely something we're pushing for. It's got a lot in common with the code coverage engine. http://blogs.msdn.com/scarroll/archive/2005/02/14/372712.aspx

re: Beta 2 Whidbey ASP.NET Profiler HOWTO

The problem with clicking the "Launch" button is that your web service ends up with a different url (like http://localhost:2662/MyService/) instead of it's normal URL (like http://localhost/MyVirtualDirectory/MyService) so client applications can't talk to it. Normally when I debug I have to do "attach to process" and attach to the running ASPNET_WP process to get around this problem. Is there a way I can "attach" to do profiling instead of a "launch"? Am I missing something?

re: Beta 2 Whidbey ASP.NET Profiler HOWTO

When trying to launch the profiling tool in VS.NET 2005 , I get error

Could not load type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Performance.PerfWorkItem' from assembly 'PerfPkg, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'.

Why is that happening?
Anyways I am currentl using ProfileSharp Developer Edition (Free) for .NET code profiling.

inflect Andorra%20La%20Vella

At the time of this writing, Beta 2 is not yet legally available on the outside AFAIK, so I hope I'm not jumping the gun here - but the more eyeballs and user feedback you can help us get, the better. So consider this a work in progress that will get updated as time goes on, if you have anything to add please throw it in the comments section and I will update as appropriate!
