The rumors were true: Windows Embedded + Apple team up!

[edit 4/2/04. In case you're a day late or viewing this through Google/MSN cache, this was an April Fool's prank]

Windows Embedded and Apple team up to componentize MAC OS X. WindRiver cries foul!

You probably saw the announcement already but in case you missed it, we’re super excited to be working with Apple on this effort to deliver the Windows Embedded tools and component technologies for OS X to the Mac environment. Our first challenge is probably going to be porting our dependency analysis tools to the Unix platform so we can start componentizing Safari and all the other Mac goodness.

But if you ask me, I’m really looking forward to seeing Target Designer leverage the Mac UI. <grin>
